Spray Rendering across Freckleton (PR4), about 25 minutes from our base.
Spray Render for Freckleton Homes
We spray our render on rather than trowel it by hand, and have done for over 15 years. The machine lays material down evenly across a whole elevation in one go, so gables and long back walls carry one consistent finish instead of a patchwork of trowel passes. It's quicker too, which is a big part of how most Freckleton houses stay inside 3 to 7 days on site.
Speed counts for more than people think out here. Fylde weather gives you windows, not seasons, and a sprayed coat gets a full wall finished while conditions hold. Between the village, Warton and Newton there's a steady mix of semis, bungalows and newer estate houses, and the rig treats them all the same way: proper prep first, then an even coat over the lot.

- Hand-applied render from old jobs showing every trowel mark in low evening sun
- Big plain gables that turn out patchy when coated by hand
- Extensions where the new render never matched the texture of the original
- Failed coatings that need stripping and prepping before anything gets sprayed
Spray application is our standard way of working, not an add-on. The machine has been through more than 15 years of Fylde weather with us, and the evenness of the finish it leaves is the reason we've never gone back to doing whole elevations by hand.
Where We Cover in Freckleton
Freckleton's housing tells you roughly when each part of the village arrived. The oldest cottages and brick terraces sit around the centre and towards the Naze end, where the village runs down to the Ribble marshes. Around them are the post-war semis and bungalows that make up most of the stock, and newer estates have been filling the ground between here and Warton for years. It's commuter territory, with Preston one way along the A584 and Lytham the other, and most owners are improving the house they're in rather than moving on.
The weather comes off the estuary. South of the village it's open marsh down to the Ribble, so south and west-facing walls take wind-driven rain with little in the way to slow it. It's gentler than the seafront, no salt spray stripping paint, but old cement render here still goes porous, pebbledash loosens and turns grey, and hairline cracks that sit harmless all summer feed damp into the wall all winter. Once frost gets into a wet crack, a small repair starts turning into a bigger one.
We work right across Freckleton, including Warton and Newton, and out into the surrounding towns and villages.

Spray Render Questions
For full walls, yes. The render goes on at an even thickness with no trowel marks or joins, and the job is quicker, so most houses are done in 3 to 7 days. For small patches and repairs, hand application is still the right tool. We do both, so you get whichever suits the job.
No. The materials are the same and the machine saves labour time, so spray tends to work out no dearer for the same job. As a guide, a typical 3-bed semi is roughly £3,000 to £6,000 depending on the system and the prep needed. We give free written quotes, usually within 48 hours.
Most houses take 3 to 7 days from start to finish. That includes masking up, prep, beads and base coats, spraying and the finish texture. Bigger properties, pebble dash removal or brickwork repairs add time, and coastal weather can shift things by a day. We'll give you an honest timescale with your quote.
