Why Silicone Render Suits the Fylde Coast Weather
Houses on this coast take a battering. Salt air off the sea, wind-driven rain most of the winter, and sun on the front elevations all summer. How a Silicone Rendering Job Runs
It starts with a look at the house. We come out, measure up, check the state of the existing walls and talk through colours and finishes. You get a free written quote, usually within 48 hours, with the system, the prep and the price set out plainly. No pressure, no obligation.
On the job itself, scaffold goes up first. Then the prep: any old or loose render comes off, cracks get sorted, and windows and paths are covered over. We apply a basecoat with mesh bedded into it, which is what gives the system its strength and stops cracks coming through. Once that's cured, the silicone topcoat goes on by spray for an even, consistent coat, and we work it up to the texture you've picked.
Most houses take 3 to 7 days from scaffold up to scaffold down, depending on size and how much prep the walls need. Before we leave we walk round the whole job with you, snag anything that needs a touch and clear the site properly. Then the rain does the cleaning from there on.
