The streets near the docks and the front are full of Victorian and Edwardian terraces built in the fishing days, most of them solid brick with bay fronts. Around the Mount you get bigger period properties, and further out at Larkholme and Rossall it's mainly post-war semis and bungalows, plenty of them pebble dashed or roughcast when they were built.
Then there's the exposure. With the Irish Sea to the west and the Wyre estuary to the east, there's no sheltered side of Fleetwood.
